Voice Control (requires Kinect):

For voice control say "Xbox Select" to activate the voice controls. The user can say any of the voice commands highlighted in green to navigate, open various sections, and even start playback on a video! During playback on video clips, the user can use the voice controls to pause, play, fast forward, and rewind. The "Xbox Show Menu" command can be stated at anytime to open up the Main Menu.

Gesture Control (requires Kinect):

1. To engage gesture control, lift your hand. To target a specific item on the screen, move your hand over to target it. To select something, push forward.

2. To scroll, grab the screen and drag it.

3. To go Home, grab the sides of the screen and pull in.
Possible Error Messages:

1. CBC Server Unavailable. Sorry, CBC isn’t available right now. Please select the retry button below or try again later. For more information, contact CBC at http://www.cbc.ca/contact/.

2. CBC has encountered an error and must close.

Possible Fixes:

1. Go to 'Service status' (www.xbox.com/status) to check if there’s a problem with Xbox Live or the CBC app.

2. If there is no problem and you get one of these errors when you try to start the CBC app, wait about a minute and then try starting the app again.

3. If you still get an error, try deleting and reinstalling the app.

4. If none of these solutions work, contact CBC at http://www.cbc.ca/contact/.

Possible Error Messages:

1. Our console ratings system is not supported by the application. The application only supports the Canadian Ratings system. You can turn off content controls in Settings >> Family.

2. The current content is blocked with a lock icon.

Possible Fixes:

1. If you get one of these error messages, it means that your parental controls are set to block content with that rating.

2. To unblock this content, you'll need to enter a passkey to enable playback.
Content Restriction Errors:

1. Sorry, but this content is unavailable from your location.

Possible Fixes:

1. This content is only available within Canada. If you are receiving this error message incorrectly, contact CBC at http://www.cbc.ca/contact/.

Possible Error Messages:

1. Content Not Available. Sorry, the item you're interested in is no longer available.

2. No results have been found

3. An error occurred while loading the video.

Possible Fixes:

1. If you get one of these error messages, return to the previous menu and select a different item to watch.
