When you customize your character you will choose your parent Loa. Each Loa has a set of spells and passive abilities that define how you play the game.
Ogoun for example, is a very difficult Loa to master while being very powerful in the right hands.
Baron Samedi and Erzulie provide a balanced set of spells for beginners.
Explore the map to visit vendors and shrines. Be sure to visit yellow question marks as they are special events.
Doing events is a good way to improve your character and unlock secrets as they often provide nice rewards.
In your adventure you will find lots of mojos! Mojos are enchanted voodoo items which yield unique properties, such as benefits or possible drawbacks.
Another way of becoming stronger is through forming pacts with Loa by visiting their shrine, but... be careful, some Loa are known to play devious tricks on adventurers!
Voodoo pins are very important. They provide a variety of bonuses which will help you in many ways.
As a new voodoo initiate you will not have any pins to select from, however through exploring the world you will unlock new pins.
Collected gold can be used to upgrade pins. The number of pins you can select at once increases with your progress of becoming a renowned voodoo priest.
