To use your wheel:
1. Plug in the wheel to a USB port, making sure to plug in power for the wheel.
2. Navigate to the Settings menu on your Xbox One, then to Devices & Accessories.
3. Select the wheel controller, and select Assign to Someone. Then select your profile. (NOTE: Wheel controller may appear as “Xbox One Wireless Controller”)
4. Start Forza Motorsport 6.
5. Navigate to the Options tab, then select Controller/Wheel.
6. Choose your layout. For advanced options, press X.
Forza Motorsport 6 is fully compatible with the Xbox One® Elite controller. To program the functionality of your Elite controller, use the Xbox One® Elite Controller App from the Xbox One® Marketplace.

Tackle the real challenges introduced by racing in the rain. Wet weather changes the racing experience as traction becomes scarce, and tires can aquaplane over physically simulated 3D puddles. With rain, the feel of the car becomes more important, and completely changes each track.
At night, tarmac cools, reducing grip. You’ll need a different set of skills at night than you will during the day. For some modern tracks, stadium lighting creates a whole new look, and for classic circuits, your headlights may be the only thing that keeps you on the road.
Challenge yourself with the new Mods system. Mods are available in Career and Free Play modes.
A Mod comes in one of three types: Boost, Crew, and Dare. Credits earned while racing can be used to purchase Mod Packs. You can also win Mod Packs with a Prize Spin reward.
Boost Mods can be used once per race to increase race payouts, bonus XP, or improve your position on the starting grid. You can use up to three Boosts in a single race.
Crew Mods have unlimited uses, but you can only use one Crew Mod per race. Crew Mods simulate how a race team can improve a car’s performance to give you an edge.
Dare Mods also have unlimited uses, but you can only use one Dare Mod per race. Dare Mods add unique challenges to your race for the chance for increased payouts.
Every race, the best Mods are recommended to you; press X during Pre-Race to Quick Equip them. Please note that use of any Mod categorizes your time as a “dirty lap”.
Forza Motorsport 6 features an all-new Career mode called Stories of Motorsport.
The Stories of Motorsport spans five Volumes, starting in Super Street and ending in Ultimate Motorsport. Each Volume is its own career, a comprehensive experience that lets the player travel the world and celebrate automotive history, both past and present.
Each Volume is broken into three distinct Series. Think of these as chapters that range from tours of iconic racing venues to the ultimate collection of wet weather races.
Tackle each Series with your choice of six unique Car Divisions. Each Car Division is a selection of cars that speaks to the essence of the Volume in which they reside.
Showcase Events highlight unique race modes and diverse cars. These events don’t require you to own the car, and you can play them at any time outside of Career.
Leagues are fun, competitive multiplayer events, with strictly-enforced divisions based on your skill and temperament. Each League event will be open during specific times during the day. Check the schedule in the League Select screen to see when your League is open. When the League ends, you will receive rewards based on your final leaderboard.
A Driver Division is assigned to you automatically based on your skill rating. As your skill progresses, you will climb in Driver Divisions. Your Driver Division gives you access to Leagues and other races of the same Driver Division. Once you start a League in your Driver Division, you will remain in that Driver Division until that League ends.
Forza Motorsport 6 now allows you to gather your party in a pre-race lobby for Multiplayer Hoppers.
Invite your friends to the game using the Xbox Party App. Once everyone is in the game, your party will be matched into a Hopper together or you can choose to start your own Private Lobby.
Earn a chance to win big with Prize Spins! Each time you increase your driver level or complete a career milestone, you’ll earn a Prize Spin that will reward credits, Mod Packs, or even a new car.
During a Prize Spin, a series of rewards will appear at random. When you see something you like, press A to freeze the available rewards and wait to see what prize it stops on!
Opponents in Forza Motorsport 6 use cloud-powered Drivatars.
Drivatars introduce real human behavior in every race you play in Forza. The cloud-powered Drivatar opponents in Forza are all based on real Forza drivers in the community, and they display the same tendencies, strengths, and weaknesses as their human counterparts. The result is that racing against Drivatars feels more like racing against your friends than ever before.
Forza Motorsport 6 pulls racing data from literally millions of Forza players in both Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2. The cloud-powered nature of the Drivatar system means there are new, more nuanced racecraft behaviors, making Drivatar opponents even more lifelike than before.
Drivatars too aggressive? Choose Drivatar Settings from the Pre-Race menu and switch on the Limit Aggression toggle to turn off Drivatar behaviors like blocking or sideswiping.
Personalize your Drivatar by choosing a male or female driver. You can find this on the Options tab on the main menu.
Climb to the top of the leaderboards and prove you’re the best in the world! Rivals return, showing you a snapshot of your closest competition to beat, as well as the times for top Forza racers.
Tune setups from top Rivals can be downloaded from the leaderboards.
Customize how your car looks and drives. Exterior modifications have been updated with licensed wheels and body parts, and the robust vinyl system makes it possible to create just about any design you can imagine. You can also improve your car’s driving characteristics for peak performance, to fit your driving style, or even customize it for individual circuits.

The more your design or tune is used, the more rewards you’ll get. The most popular and effective designs or tunes will be curated to all players.
Import all of your favorite designs, vinyl groups, and tuning setups from Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2.
Every car in Forza Motorsport 6 features its own Forzavista™ experience; as a result, every car in the game is the beginning of a new automotive adventure.
Players will be able to explore the interiors and exteriors of each car in unprecedented detail. Access Forzavista™ off the X button from the Main Menu. Here you can explore your current car and customize it with body upgrades or paint colors. If you want to get close to the car, press down on the Left Thumbstick to kneel down.
Show everyone your accomplishments with your profile’s badge. Badges are unlocked by progressing through the game, or with feats of skill. Some badges will even level up while playing.
You can find these on the Options tab in the main menu. These are viewed by everyone, so show off your best ones!
