Welcome to the VH1 Xbox One application. You can watch your favorite VH1 shows right on your Xbox One. As part of your TV subscription, you can log in to watch more full episodes from select VH1 series anytime. There is no additional charge for this access for TV subscribers.


If your provider isn’t listed, don’t panic. We are working hard to get all TV providers to participate.


In the meantime, enjoy great video from VH1 shows, including sneak peeks, after shows, bonus clips and exclusive, original content from your favorite VH1 series.

Many full episodes in the VH1 app require you to login with your username and password from your TV provider. These items are indicated by a "lock" or "key" icon displayed within the video thumbnail.

Some full episode content is made available only as part of a TV subscription. In order to verify that you have an active subscription with your TV provider, we must ask that you validate your account. After you have successfully signed in, you can gain access to all of the content within the application.

If you already have a username and password from your TV provider, you will not need to create a new account. If you forgot your account information or have not yet created an account, please contact your TV provider for assistance.

If your provider isn't currently listed, don’t worry. We are working hard to get all TV providers to participate.

The code is not case sensitive and is active for 24-hours. If the code isn't working or has expired, click on "Regenerate Code" within the VH1 application to get a new activation code.

If you receive an error message "server issue, sorry, the VH1 service isn't available right now. Please try again later," please be sure to check to verify the status of the VH1 app is "up and running"

No, the app doesn’t give you access to watch live video of what’s on VH1 right now. But, it does give you access to a vast library of video on demand, including full episodes!

Once the VH1 app is installed, it will be available from within the Games & Apps section of your Xbox One. If you would like to create a shortcut in order to access the VH1 app much quicker, you can pin the application to your Xbox One’s home screen.


There are multiple ways to pin the application; here are a few simple and easy ways:


  • While you are using the VH1 application, you can press the Menu button on your controller to access the application menu options. Here you will find an option to "Pin to Home"

  • While within Home, highlight the VH1 application and then press the Menu button on your controller. Here you will find an option to "Pin to Home"

Want the quickest access to all your favorite VH1 shows? All you need to do is pin your favorite shows to Xbox One Home.


To pin a show, just visit the specific show’s page within the VH1 application and choose "Pin it". You may also use voice controls to access this option.

We’ve made it easy for you to favorite the VH1 shows you love the most. When you favorite an VH1 show, it can easily be accessed directly from the "Favorites" section within the VH1 app.

The Privacy Settings section of the VH1 application provides options for you to clear all favorites and clear playback progress.


  • Select "Clear All Progress" to clear the playback progress of all previously watched videos within the VH1 application.

  • Select "Clear All Favorites" to delete all shows that you have marked as your favorites. The shows will still exist within the application, you will simply be removing them from the “Favorites” sections of the application. You may individually remove a show from "Favorites" by visiting a specific show’s screen and selecting "Unfavorite."

While watching a video in full screen, you may use your Xbox One controller, voice, or gesture to display the playback controls. By selecting the "Guide" button, you will be able to see details about the video that is currently playing, what videos are coming up next, or browse through and select a different video.
