Broken Sword 5 – the Serpent’s Curse is an adventure game requiring investigation and discovery. If you have never played an adventure before then don’t worry. The game has been designed for both novice and expert alike, with intuitive context-sensitive controls.
Adventure games offer investigation and exploration – and this requires you to discover and interact with objects and people of interest. To do this, move your pointer around the screen. As it passes over something of interest (we call these ‘hotspots’), the pointer graphic will change to show the type of action you can perform.
The purpose of some hotspots may not be immediately obvious, but don’t worry, think logically and all will become clear. The game will not let you progress from a section until you have achieved everything that needs to be done there, so you’re not going to miss anything.
