If you already have a Gfinity account. You can log in using the email address and password from your account. Your Gfinity account will then be linked with your Xbox Live account, you can separate that link at any time by logging out from the context menu within the app.
You can register as a member of Gfinity.net by selecting the register button and entering your details. Once you have selected register and accepted the terms and conditions, please check your email to activate your account before logging in to the app.
Gfinity TV offers a selection of Gfinity’s best live and VoD content played through the Xbox One apps of some of our broadcast partners. These videos will link you out to directly play the content in those apps.
In My Gfinity you will find your Gfinity profile, messages, teams and wallet. Within the Message Center you will be able to see all of your messages from Gfinity and other users as well as invites to teams and invites to other user’s custom tournaments. This is also where you can create and manage your Gfinity teams.
This is where you will find the tournament building wizard where you can get started on building your own cup, league or ladder and all of your previously created tournaments.
Search the Gfinity userbase for your opponents and friends. Find people to follow, invite to a team or message to arrange fixtures.
Selecting Games on the home tab will allow you to find all of our current Gfinity tournaments by game. On the Tournaments tab, you will also find a selection of our featured Gfinity tournaments. Under My Tournaments, you will find all of the Gfinity and BYOT tournaments that you are currently entered into. Under Open BYOT Tournaments, you will find all of the BYOT tournaments that are currently open for anyone to enter.
On the Fixtures tab, you will find your upcoming matches in Gfinity and BYOT tournaments. This is also where you will go to submit results for your fixtures and to check-in to any Gfinity tournaments that are starting.
Navigate to My Gfinity and you will find My Teams where you can manage and create your Gfinity teams. All users are given a starter team; to add players to a team, select that team under My Teams, select Invite User and search for the user you want to add by their Gfinity username. If that user accepts your invite, they will then be added to your team.
Gfinity Tournaments can be found through the Games tile on the Home tab or through the Featured Tournaments on the tournament tab. To find out more about a tournament and to enter it, just select that tournaments tile to enter it. If there is a register button, the tournament is open to entry and you can select register to enter one of your teams. You must make sure that you have enough players in one of your teams for the required minimum for that tournament. If you don’t, navigate to My Gfinity to invite more users to your team. Some Gfinity tournaments will only be open to our premium members, to enter our premium tournaments head to Gfinity.net to upgrade your account.
Once you have entered a team into a Gfinity cup, on the day of the tournament you will need to keep an eye out for a Check-in message on the Fixtures tab. These will come through an hour before the start time of the cup and you must accept the check-in or your team will be removed. At the start time of the cup, navigate to My Fixtures to find out who your opponent is. Fifteen minutes after the start time of your fixture, it will move across to Submit results where you will be able to enter the score from your match.
In a Gfinity ladder, you create and accept challenges from other players to increase your ranking. The higher ranked your opponent is, the more points you’ll get for winning; the lower ranked your opponent is, the more points you’ll lose for losing! To find or create challenge, go to the Play tab on the tournament details page, where you will find the ladder, challenge builder and all available challenges. Once you have accepted a challenge or someone has accepted one of your challenges, it will appear in your fixtures.
If you enter a result and your opponent does not or if they enter a different result to you or if they fail to turn up; the fixture result will not be accepted until it has been resolved by one of our admin team. If you want to dispute or discuss a fixture, log in to your account at Gfinity.net and create a ticket explaining your challenge. We encourage users to submit as much evidence as possible; in particular, any screenshots of final scores.
Select the Build Your Own Tournament tile on the home tab of the app to enter our tournament building Wizard. You can choose from a cup, league or ladder; an invite only tournament or one which will be open to the whole Gfinity userbase; an individual tournament or one using your Gfinity teams; and from a selection of Gfinity rule templates or editing your own rules. You can choose from a selection of popular Xbox One titles or just choose other and define your tournament in its name and rules.
Once you have created your tournament, you will be able to find it under My Tournaments and in the Build Your Own Tournament page. From there, you will be able to invite more players to your tournament, view the entered participants and pending invites and kick any players you don’t want in the cup. Once there are at least 3 players accepted into the tournament, you will be able to press play to start the tournament.
As the tournament owner, you have administrative control and responsibility over the tournament. This means that you can enter the score for any fixture, you will be required to resolve conflicts between users who enter different scores and (in a cup) you will be a responsible for advancing each round once conflicts are resolved. All of these tournament administration features can be accessed from the main tournament details page.
